Bachelor Gulch Residents Association

Meet the BGRA Board of Directors

The BGRA Volunteer Board of Directors is elected by the homeowners as specified in the Bylaws, which you can find here. In the Bylaws you can also find the responsibilities, powers, limitations and restrictions of the Board. The BGRA has no administrative employees. Volunteers do the work on a part-time basis. All questions and requests from members are handled by the Board members. Feel free to contact any Board member via email:  bachelorgulchra@gmail.com

Kristi Kennedy, President

Kristi recently moved to Bachelor Gulch from Naples, Florida and is now a full-time resident. After graduating law school, much of Kristi’s career has focused on mergers and acquisitions of software companies.  She is currently the CEO and a principal of a data management software company.  Kristi serves on the Board of Friends for Double Discovery Center in NY, a non-profit dedicated to providing college access to low- income students.  She is also on the Board of Directors of Columbia College Women.  Kristi, her husband, Dan, and their five children enjoy tennis, hiking, biking, skiing and snowshoeing.

Greg Weiss, Secretary

Our principle residence is in Manhattan in NYC, but my wife, Karen, and I spend most of the winter and summer here in Buckhorn. I grew up in NJ and went to college and law school in the East. My entire legal career was spent as a corporate attorney with a large NYC-based law firm. I retired at the end of 2005 after 37 years in the profession. Since I retired I have skied at least 70 days a year. I also spend a lot of time in the summer on the Bachelor Gulch tennis courts and, with little success, on the Red Sky Ranch golf courses. My 3 daughters and their families (including 11 grandchildren) live in NJ and love to visit us here in CO.

Vanessa Heinecke

I have been coming to Bachelor Gulch and Beaver Creek to ski with my family, husband Gary and daughter Ruby for over ten years now.  In 2014 we bought our first home in Bachelor Gulch and we now enjoy time here during the summer and winter seasons.  My main residence at present is Minneapolis, MN.  I have served on many committees and task forces since retiring from a full career in retail buying and merchandising and I am enjoying getting to know the great people that make up the Bachelor Gulch community.

Cathy Jones-Coburn

I have been associated with Bachelor Gulch Village since its inception, walking the homesites before there were even roads in our lovely resort. My husband, Russ, and I have lived in BG since 2000, first as Quartermoon homeowners and now as residents at the Horizon Pass Townhomes. I have an easy commute to my office at Slifer Smith & Frampton in The Ritz Carlton where I am the Managing Broker. I have lived full-time in the Vail Valley since 1996. Bachelor Gulch has been my playground for many years both personally and professionally.

Kelly Quinn

Kelly and her husband, Tom Williams, have been homeowners at Snowcloud for over 20 years. They visit Bachelor Gulch frequently, traveling back and forth from the Chicago area. Their three adult children and grandchildren visit often. Kelly is a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, researching and teaching about communication technologies in the areas of social media and privacy. She has served on several boards, including the Association of Internet Researchers (a professional academic organization), the Misericordia Women’s League (which supports a residential facility for children and adults with developmental disability in Chicago), and the Gus Foundation (which supported pediatric brain tumor research at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago). She holds an MBA in finance from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and has a background  in commercial banking and real estate finance. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys tennis, hiking, and skiing, especially in Colorado.

Robbie Cooper

Since 2002 Robbie and her family have enjoyed their Bachelor Gulch home as their favorite vacation destination, a place to connect and enjoy the abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities together.

Robbie is an innovator and entrepreneur with a history of community involvement both in her hometown of Toronto Canada and in Colorado.  Robbie has supported numerous non-profit organizations over the years, giving generously of her time and resources.

As co-owner and innovator behind a restaurant, bar and entertainment complex in Buena Vista, Colorado prior to the pandemic, Robbie was an active member of Buena Vista’s Main Street America Organization, dedicated to the preservation, economic development and community revitalization of historic

East Main Street.  Robbie currently is a member of the Corporate Committee under the Art Gallery of Ontario’s Advance-

ment Committee as well as a board member of The American Friends of the AGO. She is a Coralus (formerly SheEO) Activator, supporting female entrepreneurs working on the UN Sustainable Develop-

ment Goals (the world’s “to do” list) and current President of 36 Hazelton Condominium Association.  Robbie can be found on the mountain snowboarding, skiing and hiking in the winter and playing tennis and cycling in the summer.

George Wilson

I have had over 45 years of experience in government and executive management.  I am president of Public Safety Corporation of Florida which supports unique state and local government needs in public safety.  Additionally, I co-founded Winefest at St Michaels, a Maryland charity.   I am in the Ritz Carlton Residences and am the father of 3 and grandfather of 6.

Stephen Yurco

Stephen has been a member of the Bachelor Gulch community since 2003.  He and his wife Debra have rented their property at times and have been solitary secondary homeowners at other times.  He appreciates the perspective from both sides and how they affect property values.  Stephen is a graduate of Northwestern University, where he received his BS and MD in 1978.  After a residency in pathology in Houston, he joined the staff as an assistant professor and went on to get his MBA at the University of Houston.  In 1990 he joined his current practice group, Clinical Pathology Laboratories and Associates in Austin, Texas.  He has served as an executive committee member and treasurer for several terms.  Stephen has served on numerous cultural, fundraising and professional organizations within the Austin community.

PAMELA STEGENGA, Treasurer

My husband, Jeff, and I raised our three children Jake, Michael and Kathleen in Dallas, Texas. While there, I participated in many community events: fundraising efforts, volunteer opportunities and served on several non-profit boards. We have been coming to the Vail Valley for the past ten years, owned a home in Beaver Creek and, just recently, purchased a new home in Bachelor Gulch where we now live most of the year. We are thoroughly enjoying the great outdoors as skiing, hiking, biking, golfing and traveling are just a few of our passions. We also enjoy spending time at our home in Scottsdale during the longer winter months. Given my financial background, I am excited about returning to my roots through the opportunity to serve as your treasurer and look forward to meeting new friends and neighbors.
