About Bachelor Gulch

We are a part of Beaver Creek Mountain Ski Area which also includes Beaver Creek Village to our east, and Arrowhead Village to our west. The ski mountain usually opens during Thanksgiving week and closes around mid April. The total ski area has 1,805 acres consisting of 340 acres (19%) of beginner terrain, 771 acres (43%) of intermediate terrain, and 694 acres (38%) of advanced terrain. 17 lifts service it's 148 trails. The ski mountain has 3 terrain parks, one half pipe, and two bowls (Larkspur bowl & Rose bowl). The lifts are open on average from 9 AM to 3:30 PM (hours extended over the season as days get longer). We are also located about 10 miles west of Vail, the largest ski area in North America. The mountain has four terrain parks, seven bowls, and 5,289 acres of free ride terrain. Its 193 trails are serviced by 32 lifts and 1 gondola.

Vail/Eagle County Airport (EGE)-

Avon, the Vail/Eagle County Airport is serviced by American, Continental, Delta, Northwest, United Airlines, and U. S. Airways. 

Denver International Airport (DIA)

About 2 hours east of Bachelor Gulch. Non-stop destination for major national and international flights.

The Vail Valley Jet Center

Airport offers over 110,000 square feet of heated hanger space and many other private jet services.

Walker Field Airport (GJT)

Grand Junction, CO- Current Air Carriers include America West, Skywest/Delta Connection, and United Express, with non-stop flights daily to Phoenix and Salt Lake City. Approximately 2 hours west of Bachelor Gulch.
